For this 2026 edition, Hennessy collaborated with acclaimed contemporary Chinese artist Xu Zhen to design a striking decanter that fuses cultural heritage with modern artistry. The release follows the tradition of Hennessy's annual artistic collaborations for the Lunar New Year, celebrating the House's long-standing bond with China.

Spirit Description

The cognac in the bottle is the classic Hennessy XO (Extra Old) blend, a robust and complex masterpiece originally created in 1870. It is composed of over 100 eaux-de-vie sourced from the premier crus of the region and aged for up to 30 years in young oak barrels.

• Colour: Deep, luminous amber with rich mahogany reflections.

• Aroma: The nose reveals an intricate bouquet of candied fruit, cocoa, and warming spices like cinnamon and clove, balanced by whispers of vanilla and oak.

• Palate: A silky and full-bodied mouthfeel that delivers layers of dark chocolate, prunes, and roasted almonds. Complex notes of leather, nutmeg, and honeyed oak emerge as the spirit develops.

• Finish: Exceptionally long, elegant, and persistent, leaving a lingering trail of warm spice and sweet dried fruit.
