Product description
Hailing from the United States, the Merryvale Profile 2019 originates in Napa Valley, California—specifically from the estate’s hillside Profile Estate Vineyard in St. Helena. Founded in 1983, Merryvale Vineyards is family-owned by the Schlatter family and is renowned for crafting Bordeaux-style wines with a deep respect for terroir and precision winemaking. The Profile label represents the pinnacle of the winery's production, focusing on power, structure, and age-worthiness.
Wine Description
The 2019 Profile is a robust and elegant Bordeaux-style red blend composed primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon, with smaller proportions of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec. Deep ruby in the glass, it opens with layered aromas of black cherry, cassis, graphite, and warm spice. On the palate, rich flavours of dark berries, espresso, and cocoa unfold with superb intensity and balance. Full-bodied and structured, the tannins are firm yet polished, leading into a long, savoury finish accented by minerality and toasted oak. The wine shows great freshness and precision, suggesting a cellar-worthy aging window through 2040.
