Located in the middle of the Caroni Plains lies the Caroni Distillery. Once world known for its heavy rums made of their own sugar cane crops, the distillery was closed in 1975 leading to a cult status around its exceptional few remaining casks. Producing deep, rich, yet mellow rums this producer is certainly one for the taste buds. Exceptional.
Vanilla pods, raisins, cocoa, marzipan, toasted pineapple on the nose. Taste of cinnamon sticks, dried winter berries, toffee apples, honey, espresso. The finish is dry and long with delicate sweetness.
