Gosset Brut Grand Rose (NV)

Product description

The Grand Brut Rosé is a soft hue of salmon pink with a few ruby-cherry reflections. The nose is clearly marked by strawberries. Well-structured with a constant tension between freshness and fruity roundness, the wine is dominated by a red pulpy fruit — perhaps wild strawberry (cream or as a coulis) — giving a soft, coated sensation. It is round with a beautifully fresh finish. Due to the gentle nature of this champagne, fruit is an ideal match; as is foie gras for the daring and for the fat and sweetness of the base of this wine. The Grand Rosé Brut also pairs well with fish or shellfish.

92 Points James Suckling - A bright nose of strawberry and pink-grapefruit aromas with hints of blood oranges and berries, as well as almond biscuits. The palate has a super vibrant, fleshy ball of fresh red-fruit flavor and delivers a refreshing, minerally finish. Drink now.

92 Points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - Bottled in 2014 and disgorged in June 2018, the NV Grand Rosé Brut offers up an attractive bouquet of sweet red apples, fresh pastry and orange rind. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, concentrated and powerful, built around a bright spine of acidity and a tight-knit core but with enough substance to cover its structural bones and offer great promise for medium-term cellaring. This is an intense, elegantly austere wine that exemplifies the Gosset style.

93 Points Wine Spectator - This vibrant rosé is tightly knit and racy, with a floral overtone and flavors of peach skin, white cherry, whole-grain toast and chalky mineral showing finely honed precision as they ride the creamy, detailed mousse. Disgorged May 2018. Drink now through 2024.
