Product description

ntroduction

Fantini Trebbiano d'Abruzzo is a bright white wine from the Abruzzo region of Italy. The Fantini group was established in 1994 by Valentino Sciotti with the goal of creating high quality wines from this area, a mission that proved so successful the group eventually expanded across southern Italy. Based in the northern part of Abruzzo around the town of Ortona, the winery focuses on combining ripeness and freshness by utilizing vineyards situated 230 metres above sea level on calcareous clay soils.

Wine Description

This wine displays a bright straw yellow colour and is characterized by its fresh and vivacious nature. The nose is quite intense and persistent, offering a bouquet of yellow fruits such as peach and medlar, alongside floral notes of white flowers and orange blossom. On the palate, it is light to medium bodied with a zesty, mouthwatering acidity and a crisp, flavoursome profile that includes overtones of citrus, green apple, and a subtle hint of almonds. The finish is delicate, clean, and persistent. Crafted from 100% Trebbiano grapes, the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks at 12°C for 20 days to preserve the primary fruit character. It has an alcohol content ranging from 11.5% to 12.5% ABV depending on the specific bottling and is best enjoyed young, within a drinking window of up to 2 years.
