Product description
This single malt whisky hails from Scotland’s Speyside region, produced by the independent family-owned distillery Benromach, established in 1898 and revived in 1998 under Gordon & MacPhail. The distillery is renowned for its traditional small-scale methods, using predominantly manual equipment and crafting whisky with a subtle smoky character, a rare trait among Speyside producers.
Whisky Description
This limited-edition expression is aged for 12 years—first in first-fill bourbon casks for seven years, followed by five years in Bordeaux red wine casks. The result is a whisky of deep amber colour. The nose offers delicate floral tones of rose layered with honey and ripe red fruits. On the palate, it reveals zesty tangerine, dark forest fruits, and toasted oak, balanced by a medium body and finishing with Benromach’s signature soft peat smoke. Its style emphasises both rich fruit complexity from the wine casks and the classic lightly smoky Speyside character.
