Product description
This Speyside single malt hails from Scotland, produced by Glenfarclas distillery in the heart of the Speyside region. Nestled in Ballindalloch, the distillery has been independently owned and run by the Grant family since 1865, making it one of the few remaining family‑owned Scotch whisky producers with over a century and a half of heritage.
Whisky Description
On the nose, expect warm aromas of raisin brioche, heather honey, orange zest, and beeswax‑polished oak with a whisper of walnut skin and mocha. The palate unfolds silky layers of treacle toffee, malt loaf, dark‑chocolate truffle, intertwined with clove‑spiked caramel, roasted hazelnut, and a bright flash of candied citrus. The finish is long, warming, and gently dry, with lingering sherry‑soaked fruitcake, polished oak tannin, and a final hint of vanilla‑malt sweetness.
Food Pairing
Pair this opulent malt with desserts like sticky toffee pudding, spiced pecan pie, or dark chocolate tart. The rich, sherried sweetness and warm spice provide a superb match that enhances the dram’s depth and complexity.
