Glenfarclas Family Cask 2003 (Summer Release 2024)

Glenfarclas Distillery, family-owned since 1865, founded in 1836 by Robert Hay, and still in the hands of the Grant family. Renowned for traditional production methods—direct‑fired stills and extensive sherry‑cask maturation—Glenfarclas celebrated and continues through its Family Casks series, established in 2007, which showcases single cask releases from vintages spanning decades.

• Aroma (Nose): Offers a “bold and quirky mix—wellies and a bicycle tyre repair kit,” underlaid by dark chocolate and fruit

• Palate (Taste): Full‑bodied with an initial fizz and spice that smooth into mellow spices and fruit

• Finish: Long and mellow, fading into a soft, lingering warmth

• Varietal/Composition: Single malt Scotch whisky, cask strength, distilled in 2003; matured in a plain butt (4th‑fill sherry cask)
