Talisker 14 Year Old Special Release 2025

This Talisker expression, 'Molten Seas,' was matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in new American oak casks that were toasted using the heat from volcanic rocks from Skye. This innovative finishing process contributes to a bold and rounded palate that blends cracked black pepper, roasted nuts, and orchard fruit with notes of honey and oak char. The nose offers hints of sea salt, fresh brine, and smoked driftwood, along with citrus peel and sweet malt. 

Food Pairing

Smoky whiskies like Talisker pair well with a variety of foods, including grilled meats, intense cheeses, and salty dishes. The peppery and salty notes of Talisker make it a good match for oysters, with some people even putting a few drops of the whisky directly on their oyster. Other suggested pairings include a hearty stew or roasted meat, as the smokiness of the whisky can cut through the richness of the food. It can also be paired with smoked salmon and other seafood.
