Introduction

Mount Crushmore Pilsner is brewed by Banded Peak Brewing in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The brewery was founded by three childhood friends who grew up in Calgary chasing adventure and began experimenting with homebrewing in 2011. Its name is derived from a well-known mountain peak near Calgary where a black band of rock forms in the fall, signalling the arrival of winter.

Beer Description

This classic pilsner is pale straw-yellow in colour with a bright, crystal-clean appearance and a gentle sparkle. The aroma is characterized by fresh bready malt and soft cereal notes, complemented by subtle floral and herbal hop fragrances. On the palate, it delivers a smooth and clean crackery malt character with hints of lemon zest, citrus, and pome fruit brightness. The body is light and effervescent, fermented cold and conditioned for maximum crispness, leading to an off-dry finish with a subtle hop bitterness. The varietal composition includes Origin Classic Pilsner, Carahell, and Acidulated malts, and it is hopped with Citra and Amarillo. It has an ABV of 4.4% and a bitterness of 26 IBU.
