The fruit is sourced from sustainably farmed, family owned estate vineyards managed by Oak Ridge Winery, which is the oldest operating winery in Lodi.

Wine Description

Gnarled Vine Zinfandel presents a deep dark ruby red colour with vibrant purple highlights. On the nose, it offers an expressive bouquet of dark berries—specifically blackberry and blackcurrant—mingled with notes of plum, vanilla, and black pepper. The palate is full bodied and rich, mirroring the aromatic profile with layers of spiced damson jam, dried fig, and toasted oak. Despite its boldness, the wine maintains a fresh acidity and a velvety tannin structure, leading into a long finish characterized by warm baking spices and mocha.
