Product description

97 Points - James Suckling    All in the finish here with bright dark fruit and lemon character. Spicy, yet floral and superb. Full body, firm tannins and a long, long finish. From 90-year-old vines. Wonderful. It goes on for minutes on the palate. Startling. Better in 2018.

94 Points - Burghound    This too is wonderfully complex and well-layered though as with so many of the wines in the range there is plenty of oak influence present on the broad ranging nose that possesses ample Gevrey style elements. The old vines are very much in evidence as there is an abundance of dry extract coating the palate and buffering the firm tannic spine that shapes both the big-bodied flavors as well as the muscular, balanced and gorgeously persistent finish. This is a classic combination of power and refinement that should age for a very long time.
