Product description
Stiegl Grapefruit Radler is a world-renowned refreshing beverage from the privately owned Stiegl Brewery in Salzburg, Austria, which has been brewing since 1492. A Radler (German for cyclist) was traditionally created by mixing beer with fruit soda to provide a lower-alcohol, thirst-quenching drink for active individuals. Stiegl’s version has become a global benchmark for the style, combining their centuries-old brewing expertise with the vibrant, natural flavor of real fruit juice.
Beer Description
This Radler is naturally hazy with a pale, cloudy pink-orange color and a light, fizzy white head that dissipates quickly.
Aroma: It features an intense, bright nose of fresh-squeezed grapefruit. The aroma is highly aromatic and zesty, with subtle underlying notes of bready malt and a hint of herbal hops.
Palate: On the tongue, it is light-bodied and effervescent. It offers a perfect balance of tart citrus acidity and a soft, fruity sweetness. The finish is remarkably clean and revitalizing, with the crispness of the lager base cutting through the juice.
Profile: It has a very low ABV of 2.0% and negligible bitterness, making it an ideal choice for daytime refreshment, post-activity recovery, or as a light alternative to standard cocktails.
Technical Notes: This beverage is a blend of 40% Stiegl-Goldbräu (their flagship premium lager) and 60% all-natural grapefruit soda. It contains no artificial sweeteners or coloring, relying entirely on real fruit juice to achieve its signature flavor and cloudy appearance.
