Asahi Shuzo Dassai '45' Junmai Daiginjo Sake - 720 ml

The Asahi Shuzo brewery, which has a history spanning over 200 years, underwent a significant restructuring to focus exclusively on the production of premium Junmai Daiginjo grade sake. The name 'Dassai' translates to 'otter festival', a reference to the many otters that once inhabited the nearby rivers in Iwakuni.

Description

This premium sake is clear in appearance and is brewed using Yamada Nishiki rice polished down to 45% of its original size. It presents a graceful and elegant aromatic profile with notes of ripe melons, green apples, and delicate floral hints. On the palate, it is light-bodied and well-balanced, featuring a subtle sweetness and vibrant acidity with flavours of muscat grapes, pineapple, and mango. The experience concludes with a clean, dry, and refreshing finish. It has an alcohol content of 16%.

The fruity and aromatic nature of Dassai 45 makes it an exceptionally versatile companion for a variety of fresh and light dishes.
