Erbaluna Barolo 2018

The Erbaluna estate is situated in La Morra, in the heart of the Langa hills. The Oberto family, now in its fourth generation of winemaking, decided to farm their fifteen hectares of vineyards organically in the mid-1980s. Their philosophy is driven by a deep respect for the area's climate and the natural predisposition of the Langa soils, producing fine organic wines in a traditional style.

Wine Description

Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, the wine presents a deep ruby red colour, which will tend to take on more orange highlights as it matures. The bouquet is expansive and warm, offering characteristic scents of rose, violet, truffle, and tobacco. On the palate, the wine is dry yet harmonious, full, and velvety.

Food Pairing

Excellent pairings include roast and braised red meats, game (such as venison or wild boar), and stews. It also pairs beautifully with hard, mature cheeses like Parmigiano-Reggiano, or with truffle and mushroom-based dishes.
