This classic red wine originates from Spain, specifically the Rioja region and the Rioja Alta subregion. Founded in 1870 by Celestino Navajas, Bodegas Montecillo is the third oldest winery in Rioja and was the first established in the town of Fuenmayor. In 1973, ownership passed to the Osborne family, another historic Spanish wine dynasty, who have continued the winery's philosophy of 'reverential respect for the silent work of time'. Their winemaking approach focuses on technical innovation, such as cold fermentation, while remaining faithful to traditional Rioja methods to produce elegant, long-ageing wines.
