Product description
The Weszeli Gruner Veltliner Langenlois is a vibrant expression of the Kamptal region in Austria. Weingut Weszeli, with a tradition dating back to 1679, is currently under the leadership of Davis Weszeli, who follows a 'Terrafactum' philosophy. This approach focuses on the vineyard as a living ecosystem, utilizing biodynamic and organic farming practices to support the balance of flora and fauna.
Wine Description
This wine presents a crisp and refreshing sensory profile characterized by a bright, medium body and a zesty finish. On the nose, it offers an inviting bouquet of grapefruit, lemon pith, and white peach, accented by notes of meadow herbs and a hint of white pepper. The palate is taut and elegant, delivering flavors of lime, Granny Smith apple, and a distinct chalky minerality derived from the local loess soils.
Food Pairing
The high acidity and mineral-driven profile of this Gruner Veltliner make it exceptionally versatile at the table. It pairs beautifully with fresh oysters, goat cheese salads, and classic Austrian dishes like Wiener Schnitzel. Its spicy undertones also allow it to complement Asian-fusion cuisine, particularly Thai dishes featuring lemongrass and ginger.
