Château Haut-Brion is a French wine estate rated as a First Growth under the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, produced in Pessac just outside the city of Bordeaux. Of the five first growths, it is the only wine with the Pessac-Léognan appellation and is in some sense the ancestor of a classification that remains the benchmark to this day. The annual production ranges from 120,000 to 150,000 bottles of the red grand vin Château Haut-Brion, and from 8,000 to 10,000 bottles of Château Haut-Brion Blanc.
