Originally established in 1856 in Paris, Kentucky, Chicken Cock Whiskey is one of America's oldest and most colorful whiskey brands. Gaining legendary status during the 1920s Prohibition era, Chicken Cock became the house pour at New York City's famous Cotton Club. Because alcohol was illegal, the whiskey was smuggled across the Canadian border and served in tin cans to avoid detection by federal agents, earning it the moniker "The Whiskey in a Tin Can."

After fading into history following a distillery fire in the 1950s, the brand was resurrected in 2012 by Grain & Barrel Spirits. Today, Chicken Cock honors its heritage by sourcing exceptional aged barrels and distilling in Kentucky, bottling its spirits in custom retro-inspired glass replicas of its historic tin cans.
