Product description
Introduction
Garrison Brothers Honeydew Bourbon is a premium honey infused spirit from the United States, specifically crafted in the Texas Hill Country of Hye. Founded in 2006 by Dan Garrison, Garrison Brothers Distillery holds the distinction of being the first legal bourbon distillery in Texas and the first to produce bourbon outside of Kentucky. The family owned operation follows a grain to glass principle, managing every step of production on site under the leadership of Master Distiller Donnis Todd.
Spirit Description
This expression is built upon the distillery's Small Batch Texas Straight Bourbon, which is aged for at least three to four years in new American white oak casks. To achieve its signature profile, used bourbon barrel staves are cut into small cubes, immersed in Burleson's Texas Wildflower Honey, and then placed in a stainless steel tank with the bourbon for seven months to impart their flavours.
Colour: The spirit presents a deep golden amber or warm amber hue.
Aroma: The nose is complex and sweet, featuring aromas of elderberry syrup, wildflowers, and honey pineapple cake, alongside notes of toasted oak, caramel, and vanilla.
Palate: It delivers a creamy and smooth mouthfeel with layers of golden honey, elderberry, and caramel that give way to wood tannins, black pepper, cardamom, and apricots.
Body: The bourbon is characterized by a light and approachable body that balances artisanal sweetness with bold bourbon character.
Finish: It concludes with a long and silky finish marked by fresh flowers, sultana grapes, toasted bread, and a lingering warmth of white chocolate and espresso.
ABV: This bourbon is bottled at 40%.
