Product description

Beringer Vineyards is located in the Napa Valley region of California, United States. Founded in 1876 by brothers Jacob and Frederick Beringer, it is the oldest continuously operating winery in Napa Valley and is recognized as a historic landmark. Currently owned by Treasury Wine Estates, the winery maintains a philosophy of blending traditional methods with modern innovation, focusing on crafting wines that express the unique terroir of their extensive estate holdings.

Wine Description

This Chardonnay presents a vibrant golden hue and opens with perfumed aromas of lemon confit, yellow apples, and grilled pineapple, accented by notes of white flower blossom and subtle baking spices. The palate is full bodied with a creamy, lush texture balanced by bright, mouthwatering acidity that carries flavors of grapefruit, Asian pear, and lemon meringue. Complex undertones of toasted brioche, vanilla, and a hint of mineral lanolin emerge on the long, focused finish.

Accolades

  • James Suckling - 96 points

Food Pairing

The wine's rich character and vibrant acidity make it a natural companion for succulent dishes such as buttered lobster, grilled halibut, or roast chicken served in a creamy mushroom sauce. It also pairs elegantly with autumn-inspired sides like roasted butternut squash or a rich parmesan risotto.
