More Information
Product description
The Calera Pinot Noir Central Coast originates from the sprawling Central Coast region of California, specifically sourced from premier vineyards across San Benito County, Monterey County, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara. Founded in 1975 by legendary pioneer Josh Jensen, Calera—Spanish for 'lime kiln'—was established high in the Gabilan Mountains with a vision to produce Burgundian-style Pinot Noir from limestone-rich soils.
Wine Description
This vintage is a vibrant and beautifully expressive Pinot Noir, presenting a deep ruby hue in the glass. The sensory profile opens with alluring aromas of ripe blackberry, cedar, and nutmeg, complemented by nuances of raspberry and sweet tobacco leaf. On the palate, the wine is supple and energetic, featuring layers of black cherry, wild strawberry, and cola that glide across silky, fine-grained tannins.
