Casa Agricola de Compostela is situated in the region between Douro and Minho, in the parish of Requiao. The winery was founded in the 1960s by Manuel Gonçalves, and it remains family owned and operated, with a philosophy that has consistently pursued the highest standards of excellence. They produce their wine in the estate’s cellar, utilising modern processes including automation and control.

Casa De Compostela Vinho Verde is typically a white wine with a pale straw colour, sometimes showing subtle greenish hints, reflecting its characteristic freshness. The varietal composition for the Vinho Verde often includes a blend of indigenous grapes like Loureiro, Arinto, and Trajadura. Other varieties sometimes used are Alvarinho, Pedernã, and Fernão Pires. The wine is fresh, harmonious, and fruity. On the palate, it offers a refreshing burst of flavour with primary notes of citrus fruits, such as lemon and lime, alongside floral nuances and sometimes a touch of seaside.
