This wine originates from Italy, specifically the Trentino-Alto Adige region in Northern Italy. The grapes are sourced from the foothills of the Dolomite Alps, primarily within the Trentino, Friuli, and Veneto areas. Cavit (Cantina Viticoltori del Trentino) is a leading cooperative consortium established in 1950. It unites 11 separate cellars and over 5,250 grape growers, representing 60% of Trentino's total wine production. The winery was a pioneer in the 1970s, helping to introduce and popularize the Pinot Grigio varietal on the international stage.
Wine Description
The Cavit Pinot Grigio 2024 is a classic expression of 100% Pinot Grigio. It presents a bright straw gold colour and is characteristically dry, light-bodied, and crisp. The sensory profile features delicate and pleasing floral and fruit scents, with specific aromas of citrus, green apple, and pear. Some tasters also note hints of peach, spiced melon, and almond skin on the finish.
On the palate, the wine is refreshing and well-balanced with a mouthwatering acidity.
