From the Jura region in eastern France, specifically the Côtes du Jura appellation. The estate has been farmed biodynamically since 2006, reflecting a deep respect for tradition, terroir, and sustainable viticulture.
Wine Description
The 2020 Côtes du Jura Rouge is a blend of Pinot Noir, Trousseau, and Poulsard. It shows a translucent ruby colour with aromas of wild strawberry, cranberry, and red plum layered with earthy notes of forest floor, dried flowers, and subtle sandalwood spice. The palate is medium-bodied, lively, and perfumed, with bright acidity and silky tannins framing flavours of juicy red fruit, sweet herbs, and mineral undertones. Finishing with freshness and finesse, this wine captures the rustic elegance and authenticity of Jura reds. With 12.5% alcohol and a balanced structure, it can be enjoyed now or cellared for added complexity over the next 5–7 years.

Food Pairing
This elegant red is a superb partner to coq au vin, roast duck, or charcuterie and aged Comté cheese. For a vegetarian pairing, try it alongside mushroom terrine or lentil and root vegetable stew. These combinations highlight the wine’s savoury depth and its delicate, earthy character.
Vintage Quality
The 2020 vintage in the Jura was marked by warm weather and excellent fruit ripening, balanced by cool nights that preserved acidity. Yields were modest, but the conditions produced wines of clarity, precision, and aromatic intensity. The result is a vibrant and expressive Côtes du Jura that reflects both the vintage’s strengths and the Bourdy family’s timeless craftsmanship.
