Product description
Introduction
Domaine Houchart is located in the heart of the Côtes de Provence appellation in France, specifically within the Sainte Victoire subregion at the foot of the Montagne Sainte Victoire. Purchased in 1890 by Aurélien Houchart—a friend of the painter Paul Cézanne—the estate is now managed by the fifth generation of the family, including Geneviève Quiot. The winery's philosophy emphasizes traditional cultivation and soil preservation to express the unique, well drained clay limestone terroir that has been farmed since Roman times.
Wine Description
Domaine Houchart Cotes De Provence Rose presents a bright, fairly sustained salmon pink colour. The nose is delicate and fragrant, offering a 'basket of red fruits' such as strawberry and raspberry, alongside peach, grapefruit, and subtle floral or white peppery notes. On the palate, the wine is dry and medium bodied, characterized by a lively freshness, citrus aromas, and a rounded texture. It is a classic Provençal blend typically featuring Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is best enjoyed while young to fully appreciate its youthful acidity and mineral finish.
