Izadi Reserva Red 2020

Bodegas Izadi was established by Gonzalo Antón and friends in 1987, born from a passion for gastronomy and a great appreciation for the nature of Rioja Alavesa. The winery’s name, Izadi, means 'nature' in Basque, which reflects its core philosophy of respecting the environment and the fruit.

Wine Description

The wine is medium to full bodied and smooth, revealing layers of juicy dark berries and plush chocolate nuances on the palate. It is well-structured with balanced acidity and creamy, refined tannins. The finish is long, elegant, and tightly structured, lingering with notes of cherry, plum, toasted hazelnut, chocolate, and orange peel.

The Izadi Reserva is full-bodied with a structure that pairs well with hearty meals and rich flavours. Suggested pairings include grilled red meats, roast lamb, and aged, hard cheeses such as Manchego.
