Product description
Painted Rock Estate Winery was purchased in 2004 by John and Trish Skinner, who envisioned it as a family legacy dedicated to crafting ultra-premium Okanagan wine. The 56-acre bench, overlooking Skaha Lake in Penticton, was selected for its ideal terroir, and the winery operates under an uncompromising pursuit of quality, believing in the Okanagan Valley's potential to be an internationally recognized wine region.
Wine Description
It pours an inky black colour and presents a tightly wound set of aromatics. The richly fragrant nose features notes of dark plums, almonds, and cracked pepper, with lingering hints of eucalyptus and violets. The palate is dense, broad, and brooding, showcasing concentrated dark fruit and blackberry leaf, along with flavours of cassis and cured meat, adding depth and complexity.
Food Pairing
Suggested pairings include grilled pork loin, steak and fries, beef stew, or any mushroom dishes. The winery's Wine Club Manager suggests aged gouda and bresaola, often served on their charcuterie plates.
