Primarius Pinot Noir 2021

Product description

With its diverse topography and rich terroir, Oregon provides the perfect palette from which to craft wines of elegance and balance. Primarius is a wine made for the people, by the hearts and hands of the people who know Oregon Pinot best. Primarius = Latin for Distinguished. With each blend, winemaker Sarah Cabot hand selects the very best fruit to masterfully craft wines complex in structure and truly distinguished in style. Ever-changing vineyard sourcing promotes constant evolution in the winemaking technique to allow for unparalleled consistency from vintage to vintage.

This Pinot Noir is a blend of all of their vineyard sources throughout Oregon and is representative of one of Oregon's great vintages. Aromatics suggest brambly cane berries and Bing cherries accented by some subtle notes of cinnamon and clove. The palate carries these aromas on and compliments them with lively acidity and just a hint of oak sweetness. The mouthfeel is round and pleasant and yields some further depth suggesting Morello cherries and nutmeg. The finish lingers with soft, silky tannins and leaves an aftertaste of sweet red and black fruits and Christmas spice.
