Product description
Introduction
This red wine is from Chile, produced in the Rapel Valley within the Central Valley region. Santa Carolina is one of the oldest wineries in Chile, established in 1875 by Luis Pereira and named after his wife, Carolina Iniguez. The winery's heritage is preserved through its historical cellars in Santiago, which are a National Monument, while its winemaking philosophy focuses on the 'Living Heritage' project to explore and revive ancestral Chilean viticulture.
Wine Description
The Santa Carolina Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva displays a bright ruby red colour with violet hues. The aromatic profile is expressive, featuring scents of ripe red fruits, blackcurrants, and cherries alongside notes of vanilla, cedar, and tobacco from oak aging. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied and well balanced, offering flavours of red berries, plums, and a touch of sweet spice. It is characterized by its smooth texture, ripe tannins, and a persistent finish with hints of dried herbs. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon has an ABV of 13.5% and is best enjoyed within 3 to 5 years of the vintage.
