Product description

Introduction

Produced in Italy, this quintessential white wine comes from the Classico zone of the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC within the Marche region. Fazi Battaglia was established in 1949 by the union of the Fazi and Battaglia families, though it was later transformed into an international icon by Francesco Angelini, who introduced the world-famous emerald-green amphora bottle in 1953. The winery's philosophy is centered on promoting the identity of Italy's native varieties, maintaining a balance between traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation to serve as a great interpreter of the Marche territory.

Wine Description

Titulus presents a brilliant straw yellow colour with delicate greenish highlights. The nose is remarkably fresh, offering a bouquet of green apple, pear, and peach, further enriched by floral notes of broom and a hint of aniseed. On the palate, the wine is rich and tangy with a light to medium body, featuring flavours of citrus, quince, and apricot balanced by a sharp mineral acidity. It concludes with a pleasant and persistent finish of bitter almond, a hallmark characteristic of the noble Verdicchio grape.

Crafted from 100% Verdicchio grapes, the wine undergoes a soft pressing followed by fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperatures. It is aged for four months on its fine lees to enhance its natural crispness and sapid mineral character. While designed for immediate enjoyment as an 'easy drinking' classic, its naturally high acidity allows it to remain fresh for several years.
