Product description
Il Bruciato 2023 is a red wine from Italy, produced in the Tuscany region and the Bolgheri D.O.C. appellation. The wine is made by Marchesi Antinori, one of Italy's most historic and innovative wine producers, with a history spanning 26 generations. Il Bruciato is the second wine of the renowned Guado al Tasso estate in Bolgheri. The estate's philosophy is centred on the exploration of Bordeaux varietals, which thrive in Bolgheri's unique coastal terroir, expressing an elegant, modern, and powerful style.
Wine Description
The wine has an intense ruby red colour. The aromatic profile is noted for its beautiful freshness and fragrance, offering notes of ripe red fruits, especially cherry and plum, along with subtle hints of liquorice and mint. Further aromatic notes include vanilla, coffee, toast, and spicy cedar.
The varietal composition is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. Specifically, it is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 15% Syrah. It is a medium bodied wine. The palate is harmonious and well balanced, with a velvety and smooth texture. Flavours are fruity and fresh, echoing the nose with red berries and plum, supported by soft, integrated tannins. Stylistically, it is a pleasant, balanced, and approachable wine, designed to be drunk young while still possessing the elegance of the Bolgheri terroir. The wine is aged for eight months in barriques and then for a further four months in the bottle. The finish is long and pleasant. The ABV is 13.5%. The optimal drinking window is to drink now. Information on the organic status of the wine is not available in the sources.
