A first for Ardbeg, this single malt Scotch whisky was matured in Port wine casks before it was then married with classic bourbon barrels.
Perfumed and aromatic, with notes of lavender followed by leather, woodsmoke, mint and an almond nuttiness. Full and oily on the palate with a salty menthol freshness and woodsmoke with sweeter notes of toffee, apple crumble and fudge. Finishes long and lingering with leather, salted caramel and that minty note persisting.
