Product description
Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades Gold Brut originates from France, within the Champagne region. The brand is produced by the Cattier family, 13th-generation viticulturists who have cultivated family vineyards in the tiny village of Chigny-les-Roses since 1763. The winemaking philosophy relies on absolute exclusivity and a strict multi-vintage blending masterclass, which is currently overseen by Patriarch Jean-Jacques Cattier alongside a highly restricted artisan team. Each metalized bottle is individually finished, polished, and fitted with French pewter labels completely by hand, ensuring that no two releases are identical.
Wine Description
This sparkling wine presents a beautiful golden or pale lemony appearance in the glass and possesses a rich, complex, and full-bodied structure with an exceptionally creamy and foamy mouthfeel. The sensory profile is marvelously expressive, fresh, and lively, opening with a vaulted nose of peach, apricot, and red berry fruits, seamlessly layered with orange blossom, crystallized citrus, white flowers, and light brioche accents. On the sumptuous and opulent palate, it delivers powerful concentrations of cherries, exotic fruits, lemon, and a touch of vanilla, beautifully intertwined with honey and spun sugar. The finish is remarkably long, silky, and precise, driven by a sharp spinal cord of natural acidity and subtle mineral tension.
Varietal Composition: An iconic assemblage traditionally composed of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay, and 20% Pinot Meunier.
Stylistic Notes: The wine is celebrated for its perfect structural balance of old-world concentration and modern finesse, utilizing a signature 'trio of vintages' concept featuring the 2009, 2010, and 2012 harvests. It gains its luxurious weightless texture from a unique oak-aged liqueur de dosage that is matured for a full year in French oak casks before being introduced.
ABV: 12.5%.
Organic Status: While the domain relies on meticulous, non-interventional hand labor and low-yield parcel monitoring to preserve terroir transparency, this commercial 1.5-litre magnum bottling is not certified organic.
Food Pairing
The intense structural layers, vibrant acidity, and creamy effervescence of this prestige Brut magnum make it a spectacular match for high-end gastronomy.
Seafood: Pairs phenomenally well with pan-seared or poached scallops, seafood salads, smoked salmon, freshwater fish, or fresh oysters on the half shell.
Poultry & Game: Suggested pairings include roasted quail, a luxury chicken sandwich, or delicate white meats prepared in rich butter or mushroom reductions.
Cheese & Heavy Fare: Complements soft-ripened cheeses, rich pasta dishes finished with cream sauce, or light baked white fish.
