Product description
Originating from Italy in the Veneto region, specifically within the Colli Euganei area, Bottega Petalo Moscato represents a sweet, highly aromatic, and elegant expression of Italian sparkling winemaking. Known as Il Vino dell'Amore or The Wine of Love, this cuvée is produced by Bottega SpA, a family-owned winery established by Aldo Bottega in 1977. Sourced from estate and contract vineyards grown in nutrient-rich volcanic soils, the winemaking philosophy focuses on soft pressing of the grapes, cold storage of the unfermented must, and a single temperature-controlled fermentation in pressurized stainless steel autoclaves using the Italian Martinotti-Charmat method. The fermentation is intentionally stopped at a low alcohol level to preserve the natural sugars, vibrant fruitiness, and delicate floral bouquet of the Moscato grape.
Wine Description
The wine presents a clear, pale straw yellow colour with luminous golden highlights and a fine, persistent perlage in the glass. An extraordinarily expressive and sweet bouquet opens with fragrant aromas of yellow peach, candied apricity, and sweet orange blossom, interwoven with distinctive notes of wild rose petal, honeysuckle, acacia honey, and ripe melon. On the palate, it is light-bodied, velvety, and deliciously sweet, delivering rich flavours of white nectarine, citrus marmalade, and subtle elderflower, all balanced by a soft streak of natural acidity and a delicate, creamy effervescence. Finishing smooth, aromatic, and refreshingly sweet, it leaves a long, memorable impression of fresh rose petals and juicy orchard fruit. Composed of 100% Moscato, it effortlessly combines low alcohol lightness with intense floral aromatics and balanced residual sweetness.
