Product description

This wine originates from Argentina, specifically the Luján de Cuyo region within Mendoza. Viña Cobos was established in 1998 by the renowned American winemaker Paul Hobbs, who is widely recognized as a pioneer in elevating Argentine Malbec to international fame. The winery's philosophy is rooted in a deep exploration of terroir, utilizing sustainable farming and meticulous winemaking to produce authentic expressions of the land. The name 'Bramare' is Italian for 'to covet or yearn for,' reflecting the ambition and determination that have driven the estate since its challenging early years.

Wine Description

The Bramare Luján de Cuyo 2022 is a 100% Malbec that presents an intense ruby or violet red color. The aromatic profile is rich and layered, featuring sour cherry, cassis, and strawberry alongside notes of caramel, white pepper, graphite, chocolate, and subtle hints of menthol and rosemary. On the nose, it also displays floral accents and sweet spices like cinnamon and clove.

On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, round, and balanced, with a remarkably broad and enveloping mouthfeel. It features sweet, juicy, and elegant tannins that are firm yet refined, transitioning into a powdery and persistent finish. Stylistically, this Malbec is prized for its plushness, depth, and fresh acidity, often showing great minerality and complexity. It was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels (20% new). While it can be enjoyed now, its optimal drinking window begins in 2028, as it is expected to gain further complexity with time.
