Founded in the late 1960s, Caparzo is one of the historic estates in Montalcino and was among the first to believe in the potential of Brunello as a world-class wine. Owned since 1998 by Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini, the estate combines tradition and innovation, drawing fruit from prized vineyards in various parts of the Montalcino appellation to express complexity and balance in its wines.
This 2020 Brunello is a classic expression of 100% Sangiovese. It opens with vivid aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and dried rose petals, supported by hints of Mediterranean herbs and subtle tobacco. On the palate, it is medium to full bodied, with lively acidity, finely textured tannins, and layers of wild berry fruit, citrus peel, and earthy spice.
