Product description
Bodega Chacra, founded in 2004 by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta, is located in the Río Negro Valley of northern Patagonia, Argentina. Known for its commitment to biodynamic and organic viticulture, the winery is celebrated for crafting Pinot Noir wines that capture the unique terroir of the region.
The 2022 'Barda' Pinot Noir is sourced from vines planted in 1990, growing on slightly sandy soils. It presents a bright ruby hue and offers a captivating bouquet of cherry and rose, accompanied by notes of damp earth, chamomile, and orange peel. On the palate, this wine is dry and lean, with fine dusty tannins providing structure. Flavours of red plum and dried raspberry dominate, with sandalwood accents adding complexity to the lingering finish. Ethereal in style, this Patagonian Pinot Noir is designed to be enjoyed fresh and young, highlighting its vibrant character.
This wine pairs beautifully with fish, salads, and light dishes such as omelettes, creating a harmonious and memorable dining experience.
The 2022 vintage in Patagonia provided ideal conditions for concentrated flavours and aromatic intensity. Bodega Chacra’s meticulous vineyard management and winemaking techniques have yielded a wine that embodies the elegance and finesse of Pinot Noir from this exceptional region.
