Chateau Belair Monange 2022

Château Belair Monange is a Premier Grand Cru Classé estate located on the limestone plateau of Saint Émilion. The estate, once known as Château Belair, was acquired by the Moueix family and renamed in honour of Anne-Adèle Monange, the family’s first matriarch. With a legacy dating back to the Roman era, the estate is recognized for its meticulous vineyard management and elegant, terroir-driven wines.

Wine Description

The 2022 Château Belair Monange reveals a deep garnet colour with vibrant purple hues. Aromatically complex, it offers an expressive bouquet of ripe blackberries, violets, rose petals, graphite, and subtle mocha undertones. The palate is dense and polished, showcasing layers of black plum, liquorice, and smoked meat framed by velvety, refined tannins. Full-bodied yet balanced, the wine is marked by a chalky minerality and fresh saline edge that carries through to an impressively long, savoury finish.
