El Enemigo Bonarda "La Esperanza" 2017
93 Points - Wine Enthusiast
Raspberry, currant and floral aromas stand out. The front side of the palate is jammy and opulent, while the backside softens and settles. Jammy berry flavours are big and fruity, while this Bonarda finishes easy and with lots of ripe berry fruit. Drink through 2023.

I tasted four single-vineyard Bonarda wines from 2017, the most elegant of which was the 2017 El Enemigo Bonarda Single Vineyard La Esperanza, from an old vineyard in San Martín in the east of Mendoza on deep sandy and clay soils. It's quite floral and expressive, quite elegant for Bonarda. It's juicy, long and fine, nicely textured. Only 6,000 bottles produced.
