Description

The whisky shows a warm amber colour with copper highlights. On the nose, it reveals notes of dried fruits, apricots, raisins, and honey, accented by gentle vanilla and malt. The palate is powerful and layered, with flavours of orange zest, apricot, leather, and warming spices such as cinnamon, ginger, and pepper. Subtle sherry dryness carries through, balanced by hints of milk chocolate and caramel fudge. The body is full, with a long, complex finish featuring citrus, chocolate, and lingering spice. 

Food Pairing

This cask-strength Glenfarclas pairs beautifully with rich dishes such as slow-roasted lamb, game stews, or aged cheeses like Comté and cheddar. For a sweet contrast, try it with dark chocolate truffles or sticky toffee pudding.
