Kettle Valley Merlot 2017

Product description

The inspiration for  Kettle Valley Winery's name is the famed Kettle Valley Railway which ran through Naramata between 1915 and 1961, connecting the Southern Interior of British Columbia to the markets of the Pacific Northwest. Passion and a dedication to excellence were requirements for building the railway, and at Kettle Valley they feel that same passion and dedication for their red wines which are known for their elegant and well structured natures and their white wines that are flavourful and aromatic with a rich mouth feel.

The grapes for the 2017 Merlot come from the King Drive and McGraw vineyards in Naramata. The wine has gone through a full malolactic fermentation and was aged in French oak for 22 months. This is a satisfying Merlot, with ripe tannins and flavours of black currants and blackberries. 100% Merlot. Pairs well with jambalaya, barbeque, lamb and meat sauces.
