The Scottish Weymss family have a long standing heritage in the whisky industry, dating back to the early 19th century when John Haig built his first distillery in Fife. This Single Malt from the family owned distillery has been distilled using local Fife barley and matured in ex-Oloroso American Oak Sherry Butts used previously for maturing Sherry. These casks were chosen for their gentle oak flavours and sherry rich sweetness to compliment the fruit character of the Kingsbarns spirit. On the nose, expect to find rich notes of treacle, sultanas and rich fruit cake with a long lasting finish of dried apricots, cake spices and roasted hazelnuts, delicious!
