Louis Jadot Santenay Clos de Malte 2016

Product description

The House of Louis Jadot has been producing exceptional Burgundy wines since its founding in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot. For the past 150 years Louis Jadot has continued as one of the great names of Burgundy and has gained international reputation for its superb red and white Burgundy wines.

The red Santenay Clos de Malte is an elegant wine, with color, depth and quite potent tannins. It gives off delicate and complex aromas of red well-ripened fruits, of almonds and subtle "earthy" notes.

This wine with its earthy notes goes extremely well with casseroled pigeon.

92 Points - James Suckling

The nose here is floral and pretty with blue fruit and hints of strawberries. Medium-bodied, firm and tannic with linear acidity that gives the wine drive and substance.

91 Points - Wine Spectator

Rich and toasty, offering black cherry, blackberry and spice notes, with a hint of licorice, backed by a lively structure that merges with the tangy fruit on the finish.
