Sourced from a rocky 7-acre hillside vineyard with eastern and southeastern exposure overlooking Lake Hennessey. The 2018 vintage benefited from a later budbreak in late April and a timely spring rain, leading to a small fruit set and a wine that embodies depth and charm.
Tasting Notes
Color: Dark ruby with ochre reflections and delicate edge brightening.
Nose: Ripe dark forest berry confit, hints of plum, roasted aromas, candied orange zest, and herbal touches.
Palate: Juicy and complex, featuring plum confit and a chocolate finish, supported by an integrated sweet tannin structure.
Finish: Long-lasting with blackberry in the aftertaste, indicating sure maturity and significant aging potential.
