Product description

The 2018 vintage of Bond St. Eden is a remarkable expression of its unique terroir, sourced from an 11-acre north-facing vineyard on a rocky knoll just north of the Oakville Crossroad. The iron-rich, volcanic soils lend the wine a distinctive power and finesse, creating a balance between depth, complexity, and refinement. The growing season was long and steady, allowing for optimal ripening and resulting in a wine with exceptional purity and structure.

Tasting Notes

Color: Deep garnet-purple.
Nose: Brooding notes of blackcurrant jelly, boysenberries, and black raspberries, evolving to include spices like cloves, black pepper, and hints of crushed stone.
Palate: Full-bodied and structured, with ripe, grainy tannins supporting layers of black fruit, exotic spice, and subtle earthiness. A vibrant backbone adds freshness and precision.
Finish: Long, complex, and layered, with a persistent mineral edge and refined tannins that promise long-term aging potential.
