O'Shaughnessy Cabernet Sauvignon 'Napa Valley' 2019

Product description

This is a classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with an opaque purple color and perfumed aromas of blackberry compote, orange blossom, cassis, creme brulee, and cocoa. On the palate the wine is plush and concentrated with well-integrated tannins and a vibrant finish. Lush enough to be consumed now and structured enough to hold for decades thanks to the mountain heritage of this beautiful wine.

94 Points - Jeb Dunnuck

Deep purple-hued, with terrific mulled currant and blackberry fruits, it has lots of ripe herbal, chocolaty spice notes, full-bodied richness, sweet tannins, and a great finish.

93 Points - James Suckling

Aromas of blackberries and black cherries with hints of licorice, dried flowers and wet stones. Deep and compact with tight, chalky tannins. Full body. Ripe purple fruit in the middle and a spiced, bittersweet finish.

92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Notes of black cherries and cassis combine with cedar and vanilla on the nose of the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, a wine that's almost equal parts Howell Mountain, Mt. Veeder and Oakville. It's medium to full-bodied, reasonably concentrated and already accessible, with plush tannins and a lingering finish.
