Product description

Trapiche, established in 1883 in Mendoza, Argentina, is one of the country’s most renowned wineries, celebrated for its commitment to quality and innovation. The Terroir Series highlights Trapiche’s dedication to showcasing the unique characteristics of individual vineyards.

The 2018 Trapiche Malbec Terroir Series 'Finca Ambrosia' is crafted from 100% Malbec grapes sourced from the Finca Ambrosia vineyard in Gualtallary, Tupungato, within the Uco Valley. Located at an altitude of 1,307 meters (4,288 feet) above sea level, this vineyard provides ideal conditions for producing high-quality Malbec.

Tasting Notes
This Malbec exhibits a deep red colour with ruby hues. The nose is intense, offering aromas of dark fruits like blackberries and plums, complemented by notes of smoke, mint, spices, thyme, graphite, and licorice. On the palate, it is both fruity and minerally, with gripping tannins and a lingering, refined finish.

Winemaking Process
The grapes are hand-harvested and meticulously selected. Fermentation takes place in small concrete vats with native yeasts, followed by aging in new French oak barrels for 18 months. The wine is then bottled and stored for an additional 12 months before release, allowing it to develop further complexity and depth.

Accolades
