The 2019 Val di Suga Brunello di Montalcino is a classic expression of Sangiovese from Tuscany’s prestigious Montalcino region. This wine combines grapes from three distinct vineyard sites—northeast, southeast, and southwest—each contributing unique characteristics to the blend. The result is a harmonious balance of elegance, warmth, and minerality.
Colour: Intense ruby red with slight garnet reflections.
Aroma: Notes of ripe red fruits, complemented by subtle hints of dried flowers, spices, and a touch of oak.
Palate: On the palate, it offers flavors of cherry and red berries, with refined tannins and balanced acidity, creating a lively and structured profile.
Body: Medium to full-bodied with depth and finesse.
Finish: Long and expressive, leaving lingering earthy and floral notes.
This wine was aged for 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, followed by six months in the bottle, which enhances its complexity while preserving the fruit's freshness. With an alcohol content of 14%, it pairs beautifully with red meats, game, and dishes featuring truffles. The 2019 vintage stands out for its freshness and balance, promising excellent aging potential through the next decade, with a peak drinking window starting from 2024.
