Product description

The Eggo Franco, like many of Zorzal's wines, is made with grapes from Gualtallary's Tupungato Winelands. It is fermented in cement eggs for three to four months, with some stems and 50% of the wine in touch with skins, before being pressed and returned to the eggs for the last nine months of élevage. Herbal and candied fruit scents, with notes of cow blood and iron, are common. The lack of oak brings out the bare tannins and adds an earthy note, which I think is a big part of Gualtallary's wild side.
